Music Director – Aldeburgh Voices
Freelance position to commence in May 2020

Aldeburgh Voices is Snape Maltings’ own resident unpaid chamber choir, and we are now seeking a new Music Director to commence in May 2020.

Candidates should have a proven track record as a choral trainer and conductor. A significant part of this role is to liaise with the Head of Programming and Aldeburgh Voices Co-ordinator to plan artistic content of 4 to 5 projects each year. The choir’s repertoire is diverse, from a cappella Tudor polyphony to Britten, major works from the classical and Romantic choral repertoire to leading the annual Come and Sing musicals during Snape Proms.

With the development of our creative campus and the imminent merger of Snape Maltings and the Britten-Pears Foundation, it is an exciting time in the organisation’s history, and there may be opportunities for the new Music Director to be more involved with other aspects of Snape Maltings’ work.
