Experience a true piece of living history aboard Sailing Barge Victor, a majestic and traditionally rigged Thames barge.
Built in 1895, “Victor” was the last Thames sailing barge to be decommissioned after WWII. Today it provides glorious views of the historic River Orwell.
The barge is equipped with a fully-licensed bar and facilities so guests can enjoy cruising in comfort. The River Orwell is one of the most scenic and historic rivers in the country and was recently voted one of the most beautiful rivers in England by the Royal Yachting Association. The river is home to a diverse range of wildlife from peregrine falcons, seals, oystercatchers and little egrets, some of which we may see from Victor’s historic decks.
As we sail out, we’ll be treated to a delicious buffet lunch followed by tea and cakes on our return.
Please note, access to the barge is via stairs.
