One of this year’s featured composers, pioneering sound artist Bill Fontana has created site-specific ‘sound sculptures’ for some of the world’s most iconic public spaces, magnifying the musical traces that lie everywhere.
This year, as we celebrate 50 years of music at Snape and look froward to devloping the site future in the coming years, Fontana has created a new installation, Acoustic Vision: Snape Maltings.
To accompany his new piece, Fontana talks about the approaches he has develoiped over the last 45 years and demonstrates his technical methods.
