20-year-old cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason has made a huge impact since winning the BBC Young Musician of the Year award in 2016 and performing at the recent royal wedding, his richness of tone and communicative playing winning him admirers across the world.

His album Inspiration was not only the highest-selling debut album in the UK in any genre, but also reached the top 20 in the Official Albums Chart.

His closest musical collaborators are also his siblings – in this case his older sister Isata, with whom he performs a programme that showcases the cello’s lyric qualities to the full.

"A superstar who is also a true artist in the making"
