All events until the end of June are cancelled or postponed, including Aldeburgh Festival, and the shops and cafes are temporarily closed in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The site at Snape Maltings is still open for those who want to enjoy the fresh air and expansive natural environment of the River Alde estuary. More info

River trip from Snape Maltings Quay

Friday 19 Apr 2019 - Thursday 31 Oct 2019

Depart from the historic quay, where generations of Thames Barge skippers have plied their trade, hop aboard Sea Tradar and head out through the narrows down towards Iken.

The hour-long trip gives you the chance to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty from the River Alde, abundant with wildlife that changes with the seasons and stunning views across the mudflats and the reeds.

Please note that the River Alde is tidal, and there for the times of the trips will vary from day to day.

Tickets cost £10 for adults, and £7 for children (14 years and under).
Sea Tradar can take up to 12 people per trip, and trips will last approximately 50min-1hr.

Tickets can also be booked via the Box Office – either in person, or by calling 01728 687110.
