Liz Shackleton:
“I have been involved in teaching textiles for many years.

Initially I taught patchwork, fabric dyeing courses and designing for quilts in Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. I ran courses within my own studio, evening and day courses locally and County Council Residential Weekend Courses.

I studied for a diploma in Creative Textiles from the Open College of the Arts in 1990.

Subsequently I have taught further workshops in rag rugging and hooked textiles. I have exhibited my rugs, my quilts plus my screen printed and stitched pieces whilst also taking on commissioned work.

I love running workshops in textiles which allows people to occupy their hands and frees their minds to wander. So many individual ideas are expressed!”
