Roger Bacon has lived in Norfolk since the early 1970s, and has been producing hand carved sculptures for the last ten years, with a special emphasis on the quality of the finish. He works mainly in English naturally seasoned hardwoods, utilising skills acquired whilst designing and making hand-made furniture over a thirty year period. His ideas are inspired by the human form, using the natural colour and grain of the wood to enhance his work.

Margaret Bacon has lived and worked in Norfolk since the early 1970, and has always been passionate about the subjects of needlework and textiles. During her career and later running her own business, she studied for City and Guilds qualifications part-time, in embroidery and textiles, eventually acquiring the relevant qualifications for her to study for a textile degree at the Norwich University of the Arts, graduating in 2016.

Margaret’s initial inspiration for her designs vary from the beautiful countryside and bird life of Norfolk, her extensive travels, especially recent visits to Australia. She is also nostalgic about her past career and her family history as a subject.
