Loudon Wainwright III

Loudon Wainwright III has been charming, entertaining and moving us since the early 1970s. Head of America’s highest profile folk-dynasty (father of musicians Rufus and Martha) and known to some as the singing surgeon Captain Spalding in M*A*S*H, his career may be well into its fifth decade but he shows no sign of slowing down. His songs are as engaging, honest and on-the-money as ever. His numbers about ageing, family travails and the great lost cause that is love are a blend of poetry, social commentary and confessional, a wry, witty and wise musical autobiography of a life lived to the full. This is the first visit to Snape for a unique, legendary musician.
