Part of Spring 2018

J.Haydn String Quartet Op.64, No.5 “The Lark” in D Major
R.Schumann String Quartet Op.41, No.3 in A Major

The Mettis Quartet was founded in 2011 during Professor Augustinas Vasiliauskas’ string quartet classes at the Lithuanian Academy of Music & Theatre (LMTA). From its first performances, this young and ambitious Quartet was rated as one of the most promising ensembles of LMTA. All of its members – Kostas Tumosa (violin), Bernardas Petrauskas (violin), Karolis Rudokas (viola) and Rokas Vaitkevičius (cello) – are prize winners of many national and international competitions. They all regularly perform as solo artists and as chamber musicians, participate in numerous projects and masterclasses, and are all active in the musical life of their home country, Lithuania.

For this residency the Mettis Quartet worked with tutor Johannes Meissl.
