Visionary architect Mauro Munhoz is best known in Brazil for his part in the setting up of FLIP, South America’s first international literary festival, and for his design of the Museum of Football in Sao Paulo. He is joined by John McAslan CBE, winner of more than 120 international awards including 35 prizes for his transformation of London’s historic King’s Cross Station and the inspiration behind the rebuilding of the Iron Market in Haiti, destroyed by the 2010 earthquake. On their agenda will be the urgent and universal question of how to protect places of great natural beauty from mass tourism, if not from natural catastrophes.
