Festival Walk II: The Spirit of '48
Wed 20 Jun 10:30amTickets £22.00
Part of Aldeburgh Festival
While some concerts sell out quickly we almost always have tickets returned. You can sign up for notifications via WhatsApp to find out when sold out concerts become available. If you have tickets you’re not going to use, please let the box office know in good time so we have a good chance of re-selling them for you.
The walk takes us to the grounds of Great Glemham House, home of Fidelity Countess of Cranbrook, founder chair of the Aldeburgh Festival. We also visit White House Farm, where owner Jason Gathorne-Hardy (grandson of Fidelity Cranbrook) hosts the annual Alde Valley Spring Festival. Jason grew up on tales of the early Aldeburgh Festivals from his grandmother and shares them during the day.
By kind permission of the Earl and Countess of Cranbrook and family.
Suitable clothing and footwear essential. Approx. 4.5 miles. Easy-going. Regrettably, no dogs permitted.
Meet at White House Farm from 10am (ends approx. 3.30pm)
Free parking, please contact the Box Office if you need transport.
For directions, please see the Alde Valley Spring Festival website
