Festival Walk I: Barham to Coddenham
Wednesday 13 Jun 2018 9:30am
While some concerts sell out quickly we almost always have tickets returned. You can sign up for notifications via WhatsApp to find out when sold out concerts become available. If you have tickets you’re not going to use, please let the box office know in good time so we have a good chance of re-selling them for you.
We begin our walk at Claydon and Barham Church with its war memorial, a Henry Moore sculpture of the Madonna and Child, before setting off on a rural meander across meadows and cornfields, passing the splendid Hemingstone Hall en route to the pretty village of Coddenham. After lunch, we visit Coddenham church, noted for its superb flint flushwork, double hammerbeam roof and churchyard with abundant wildflowers, before crossing the Shrubland estate where ancient sweet chestnuts and fallow deer can be seen.
Suitable clothing and footwear essential. Approx. 6 miles. Fairly easy-going with several stiles. Regrettably, no dogs permitted.
Returning approx. 3.45pm
