The engaging Egyptian soprano explores the music of French and Spanish composers.
‘Fantastically expressive’ (The Times) Egyptian soprano Fatma Said likes to take audiences on cultural journeys between the classical and folk music of different countries and traditions. Here she is joined by pianist Joseph Middleton to perform songs by French and Spanish composers, including Poulenc’s love letter to the metropolis he adored, and songs integrating elements of more rural Spanish traditional music by Rodrigo and De Falla.
