Exhibition: The Tide of All Things by Alfie Carpenter

Thu 15 - Wed 21 October

Free Event

The Quay Gallery

Artist and musician Alfie Carpenter presents a fresh new wave of collage paintings that capture the distinct character of East Anglian landscapes.

The Tide of All Things is an exploration into change, growth and the strength of life in flux – the ebb and flow of waters; the currents of the sky; the cyclical lifespan of crops and industrial rural terrain; the rise and fall of day and night, light and dark.

Using a mixture of plein air and studio work, Alfie Carpenter uses rich layers of mixed media collage, paint, pencils, found objects and sentimental items. His artworks are emotive, playful and evocative interpretations of his surroundings in Suffolk and Norfolk.
