All events until the end of June are cancelled or postponed, including Aldeburgh Festival, and the shops and cafes are temporarily closed in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The site at Snape Maltings is still open for those who want to enjoy the fresh air and expansive natural environment of the River Alde estuary. More info

Exhibition: Take a look

Thu 16 - Wed 22 July

Free Event

The Quay Gallery

Sue Lancaster is known as a textile artist working in machine embroidery but her work starts well in advance of the production in stitch. All Sue’s work starts with observational drawing and painting on paper in order to research her topic. In this exhibition you will see the variety of media that Sue works in, the wall hung decorative panels produced in machine embroidery which also incorporate other textile processes, and the functional pieces such as bags which also result from the same research. Alongside this Sue will also be showing some of her works on paper and her experimental sketchbooks. All works will be for sale.
