Suffolk artists Sarah Bale, Julie Dodds and Rhoda Webb return to Snape this summer with an exhibition called Rock Paper Scissors.

Sarah is a figurative painter. In her emotionally charged paintings she explores the notions of change, identity and memory. Sarah studied at Chelsea School of Art and the University of Suffolk. She now works at her studio in Suffolk.

Julie’s interests in history and folkloric tales combine to inform and influence her work. She uses a wide variety of media and methods to produce a surreal quality in her images and sculpture, suggesting otherworldly or mystical experiences. Julie studied Fine Art at Suffolk University and shares a studio with the other Magpie artists in Ipswich.

Rhoda’s work explores identity and the hidden nature of our dreams and memory. Fleeting symbols of the unconscious, images of flight and our connection to the natural world appear frequently in her work. Her choice of media and materials echo the fragile nature of these tenuous and intangible links. Rhoda is a graduate of Goldsmiths, London and has a studio in Ipswich.
