Exhibition: 'OilSkins' - a portrait of the Aldeburgh Lifeboat Crew

22-28 November

Suffolk artist David Gillingwater has been a volunteer crew member on the Lifeboat at Aldeburgh for the last 20 years. He’s also a distinguished portrait painter – now he’s combining his role of helping saving lives at sea with his artistic flair. He has painted portraits of all the Aldeburgh Lifeboat crew members in their distinctive RNLI yellows, including, George the station dog.

A powerful show located against the backdrop of the North Sea. A sample video made by the BBC of his work can be seen on this link.
