Exhibition: Making Waves - work by Twelve Printmakers

Twelve Printmakers are an established group of printmakers that were first formed in 1984 and included in their number artists such as Richard Bawden, Belinda King, Bernard Cheese and James Dodds. The aim of the group is to promote high quality handmade images using a full range of recognised printmaking techniques in limited editions as well as one-off unique images.
The group are based in East Anglia centred along the Essex/Suffolk border with close links to Gainsborough’s House Print Workshop in Sudbury and the Colchester based print studio at Cuckoo Farm. All the prints are conceived and carried out by the artist working directly on the block, plate or screen from which the print will be made. The Group meets regularly to exchange ideas and plan for exhibitions. The Artists have exhibited widely in East Anglia and in London and their work is held in collections in the UK and abroad.
The exhibition will include work by Al Brown, Carl Borges, Sally Freer, Mel King, Terry Kubecki, Kit Leese, Kitty Reford, Tony Searle, David Stone, Julia Vezza, Bryan Whiteley & Alan Woods.
