All events until the end of June are cancelled or postponed, including Aldeburgh Festival, and the shops and cafes are temporarily closed in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The site at Snape Maltings is still open for those who want to enjoy the fresh air and expansive natural environment of the River Alde estuary. More info

Exhibition: Louise Mock & Clare Rizzo

Thu 25 June - Wed 1 July

Free Event

The Quay Gallery

Clare Rizzo works in watercolours and oils. Mainly of local scenes, either in the seaside towns or sometimes in a quiet spot on the river. She usually works fairly loosely with the idea that the pigments will take on an effect of their own, as they run together on the paper.

Her new work this year includes detailed watercolours of some of Suffolk’s wildlife.

Louise Mock works with white stoneware and porcelain clays. Some of her ceramics are sculptural and are smoke-fired.

The inspiration for much of her work comes from the natural environment. She will also be exhibiting fused glass pieces.
