Exhibition: Created Out of Mind – Collaborations & Conversations

‘Created Out of Mind’ present a dynamic selection of artworks developed in collaboration with people living with different kinds of dementias, highlighting the abundant creativity and diversity of experience associated with these conditions.
Coordinated by visual arts director Charlie Murphy, the exhibition includes works by Charles Robert Harrison, Janet Horton, Roberta McKee-Jackson, Charlie Murphy, Lionel Shapiro, Studio Senses (Central St Martins ceramics students), Jane Twigg, members of Rare Dementia Support Groups, and Wellcome’s public audiences.

The exhibition accompanies a performance by the National Youth Choir of Great Britain featuring works written in response to people living with mental health conditions, including world premieres by Ben Parry and Errollyn Wallen and further pieces commissioned by Created Out of Mind in partnership with the BBC Proms Inspire scheme.
Created Out of Mind are an interdisciplinary team whose research aims to explore, deepen and challenge our understanding of dementias.
