All events until the end of June are cancelled or postponed, including Aldeburgh Festival, and the shops and cafes are temporarily closed in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The site at Snape Maltings is still open for those who want to enjoy the fresh air and expansive natural environment of the River Alde estuary. More info

4PRINTmakers are a group of women artists who have come together to share our work and practice. Working as an artist is a notoriously solitary pursuit, whereas joining together as a group has helped to inspire, encourage and motivate us all. Each of us comes from a different artistic background: ceramics, graphics, textiles, painting and community arts, but we have found common ground in printmaking.

“Having met at Gainsborough House Print Workshop in Sudbury we have individually developed different styles as printmakers and, between us, use a range of techniques including etching, linocut, woodcut, screen printing and collage. It is specifically this variety within the group that appealed to us, contrasting and yet in no way conflicting, our different styles are complimentary to one another. It was the recognition of this diversity that inspired us to join forces and begin exhibiting together – that, and the fact that we like to meet up for tea and cake!” – 4PRINTmakers
