Mozart Ballet Music from Idomeneo 14’
Piano Concerto No.25 in C major 30’
Beethoven Symphony No.5 in C minor 31’

The most famous symphony of all? Those iconic opening four notes propel us headlong into a thrilling ride, one that is familiar enough to have lost some of its power to shock. But what new worlds open up when the orchestral players perform without music in front of them! All standing, freed from the shackles of printed music on stands in order to communicate better with each other and us the audience, Aurora goes deeper into this revolutionary, explosive music by committing it to memory.

To precede it, one of our most celebrated pianists joins the orchestra in the grandeur and elegance of Mozart’s concerto.
