Barbara Dickson is Scotland’s best-ever selling female vocalist. Her reputation may be founded on her versatility – from the folk roots of her native Scotland to musical theatre and pop ballads – but it all comes back to the range and rich warmth of her voice. In this special acoustic performance she and her long-time pianist Nick Holland explore her huge catalogue in an intimate set embracing traditional music, contemporary classics and some of her biggest hits.
With support from Edwina Hayes, a Yorkshire based singer songwriter described by Nanci Griffith as ‘The Sweetest Voice in England.’ Her version of Randy Newman’s ‘Feels Like Home’ was featured in the major motion picture ‘My Sister’s Keeper’ earning her numerous new fans. Her shows are a pleasing blend of well crafted songs – beautifully sung and played – coupled with a natural charm that audiences everywhere find appealing.
