The Art of Making Single Block Lino Prints
Saturday 21 April 10am–4pm
Part of Workshops at the Tack Room
This is your opportunity to discover the world of lino printmaking. The workshop will provide an introduction to lino printing that includes: preparing your image, the safe use of tools, applying ink and printing your image. Helen will provide helpful advice and tips for successful lino printing at home.
Helen Maxfield’s inspiration for her linocuts comes from her local sketching trips. Her fresh and direct designs evolve from her observational drawings and paintings.
Helen’s main aim in her practice is always to achieve images that celebrate the natural qualities of linocut.
Helen is an experienced workshop leader.
The Art of Making in Suffolk: Workshops for Spring 2018
In a new collaborative venture between Suffolk Craft Society and Snape Maltings, five selected Society Makers lead a series of one-day workshops. The hands-on sessions, which include lino printing, felt and textile development and paper and ceramic jewellery making, offer you an opportunity to learn and be inspired by professional craft makers whose work is centred in Suffolk.
