Part of The Pumphouse
Ana Silvera is a London-born singer-songwriter and composer whose folk and bluegrass-tinged tunes are lyrical, intimate and emotive, works of “lavish, vivid imagination” (Metro). Drawing on stories from her own eventful life as well as folklore and myth, Ana’s songs are vignettes, poignant snapshots in time that weave poetry and melody to magical effect.
Since releasing her debut album, ‘The Aviary’, in 2012, Ana has collaborated with early music ensemble Concerto Caledonia, written and performed a full-length original work for Royal Ballet (UK) and performed at major UK venues such as The Roundhouse, Snape Maltings, Sage Gateshead (UK) and at festivals including Iceland Airwaves, SXSW and Copenhagen Jazz Festival.
'There's both a lavish, vivid imagination and an intense intimacy at play in the music of Ana Silvera...altogether these are haunting, grown-up fairytales'
