Immerse yourself in a Gallery dedicated to local and East Anglian paintings, ceramics, sculptures and jewellery.
The Gallery at Snape Maltings is a treasure box of wonderful finds from Suffolk and further afield. From the paintings of the celebrated Maggi Hambling CBE – created in her studio just a few miles away – to new work from up-and-coming printmakers based in local villages, there is something here for every budget, making The Gallery a wonderful place to shop for presents – or to treat yourself. We work continually to introduce new creative talents as well as showcasing nationally-collected local artists including Jelly Green, Jill Draper and Jason Gathorne-Hardy through residencies and a changing programme of exhibitions.

Reflecting British and local art
Above all, the sense of place that surrounds the Maltings unites all the work we show – the huge Suffolk skies, the whispering reeds, the wonderful beaches and the peaceful woodlands are all represented here in the tones, textures and subject matter of the Gallery collections. From ceramics to paintings, sculpture to jewellery – there is a sense of continuity and reflection of this timeless environment in our Gallery collections.
