2018 marks a significant landmark as Aldeburgh Young Musicians celebrates the tenth anniversary of the first ‘officially’ auditioned cohort to the full scheme.
Ten years after launching, AYM remains a unique programme, offering crucial training and development to the next generation of composers and creative musicians. This is a fitting moment to reflect on the development and achievements of the scheme.
Aldeburgh Young Musicians flourishes as a distinctive Centre for Advanced Training, designed to realise the artistic potential of its exceptionally talented young musicians across a wide range of music. Forming part of Snape Maltings’ artist development and performance programme, AYM has continued to build on its national reputation as a specialist in working with young composers, gifted young instrumentalists and creative musicians of any discipline, and for pushing the boundaries of what young musicians can achieve.
