Aldeburgh Festival

9 – 25 June 2017 See All Events

We’re in the middle of Aldeburgh Festival, celebrating the 50th anniversary of music at Snape Maltings. One of the earliest conversions of a former industrial building for arts use, Snape Maltings Concert Hall was finished in time for the 1967 Festival.

This year we host two of Britten’s operas, residencies from musicians and ensembles from the UK and all over the world, five Britten works that were premiered at Snape, plus walks, talks, films, exhibtions and the 30 non-classical events at The Pumphouse fringe, along with free music every lunchtime on the Bandstand on the Beach.
