Snape Bridge House was originally built by Victorian entrepreneur Newson Garrett who built Snape Maltings in the mid-1850s. Designed in the Arts and Crafts style the former family home is set in a stunning location nestled alongside the famous Snape Maltings. This exceptional property is finished to a high standard and is beautifully presented throughout.

Delightful house and garden. Perfect for extended family or a group of friends; both of which we enjoyed at different times. Sue and her colleagues were super to help sort out the little snagging matters that cropped up in this first week of rental. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Ground Floor

On arriving at the house there is a set of steps leading to a glass covered porch. The imposing front door leads into a large hallway. The drawing room is to the left with comfortable sofas and chairs. There is a flat screen TV and DVD player as well as a grand piano! To the right is a twin bedroom which is ensuite, a twin bedroom and a single both of which have access to the shower and WC. All the bedrooms have storage, bed side tables with lamps.

Along the hall is the utility room and lavatory with hand basin opposite a side door leading to the garden. The large, family sized kitchen contains a larder cupboard, dresser and table seating 10. There is a wood burner for chilly evenings if needed. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, glassware, cookware and utensils.

Across the passageway from the kitchen is the third twin room which is ensuite. The passageway leads on to one side of the sitting room with more sofas and chairs, TV and sound system. This room opens up to the orangery which is a beautiful room with underfloor heating, blinds for the summer and doors which lead to the garden. There is a table in here for informal dining and comfortable seating. There is an additional built-in unit housing a fridge for those must-have chilled summer drinks!

Next to the sitting room is the formal dining room. The décor showcases original plaster mouldings with a table seating ten and a small hatchway to the kitchen. Through the dining room is a small WC to the left and then straight through to the billiard room which houses a full size billiard table with everything needed for a game or two.

First Floor

Upstairs is the spacious master bedroom which has wonderful views across the fields. There is a king sized bed with ample storage and a full sized mirror. Next door is a small single bedroom which also has views across the fields. There is a bathroom with a separate WC.
