Eo Nomine

Eo Nomine are a 5-part vocal ensemble who met on the inaugural year of The Sixteen's Young Artist Programme 'Genesis Sixteen'.

They were mentored by the world- famous Hilliard Ensemble with whom they made their first public performance in the Camden Roundhouse as part of the Voices Now Festival.  They have gone on to perform at the Cambridge Early Music Festival, St Clement Danes Church, St Martin-in-the-Fields, the National Gallery and were recently selected to perform in REMA’s young artist platform at the Martinu Hall, Prague.

As a group of singers their interests are diverse, with members singing in ensembles including Alamire, The Sixteen, Tallis Scholars and the choir of Westminster Cathedral as well as performing with companies including the Aldeburgh Festival, Brighton Early Music Festival, Garsington Opera, the Philarmonia Orchestra and Samling Academy. The group’s diverse range of singing activities lies at the core of what lends them a unique sound and approach to performance.

As well as standard perfomances Eo Nomine are keen to explore programmes and performance opportunities that venture away from the traditional concert platform.  Current projects include a multimedia project based around Buxtedhude’s Membra Jesu Nostri and a programme exploring Jewish music of the Venetian court.
